FLW Tour Around Chicago – Part 4

I had originally planned to combine a Saturday 4-hour tour of Taliesin with a Friday tour of the Johnson Wax Administration (now SC Johnson) building in Racine, and an overnight stay somewhere between the two. However the booking gods were not on my side, so I decided to make an afternoon trip up to Racine to visit the Johnson house, Wingspread.

FLW Tour Around Chicago – Part 3

I had a few hours on Monday morning before the course I’m attending was due to start. It was a great opportunity to get out to Oak Park and have a look at the Unity Temple. The last time I was in Chicago was in 2002 and I had a few hours before a plane flight so I had a quick wander around Oak Park. But I couldn’t go into the Unit Temple.

Today, I was able to continue my Frank Lloyd Wright building visits by taking a tour of the Robie House in south Chicago. This house is owned by the University of Chicago but is being restored by the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust.
