A day trip from Rome to Venice on the high-speed trains Europe is famous for. I started the day with a short walk to the central station and a train ride to Venice. I was expecting to see a lot of scenery but it seems much of the trip was in tunnels. Stepping out of the station in Venice is one of the most memorable moments of my life - you walk out and you're in Venice, canal, boats, bridges, churches. I spent most of the day trying not to get lost and not to fill my cameras memory card. I covered a lot but didn't see it all. The day was foggy, so I didn't realise how much more of Venice there was.
