Description | Two, related issues were released at the same time; World Weather Watch and Satellite Communication (Intelsat).
The World Weather Watch commemorative issue highlights technology used in weather analysis and prediction such as satellites and computers.
The Satellite Communication issue highlights the Intelsat II program - four satellites launched in 1966 and 1967. This program helped stretch Australian communication across the country and the globe.
Many of the cachet makers of the time issued combined covers for both issues. |
