Description | This issue commemorates 200 years since Lieutenant James Cook discovered the east coast of Australia. This was a unique issue consisting of a se-tenant strip of five (5c) stamps, a large landscape 30c stamp, and a souvenir sheet (minisheet). Australia Post issued a FDC for the stamps but not the minisheet.
For a good discussion of the issue and FDCs, particularly the rare "Small" cover, see http://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=51902. |
